Registration & Credentials
How do I become a delegate?
To become a delegate, you will need to attend your precinct and county conventions in March of 2026 and be elected as a delegate to the State Convention.
What do I need to bring to credentialing?
A valid photo ID. Please arrive early to help ensure quorum counts begin on time.
When can I get credentialed at the convention?
Registration will open at 4:00PM on April 10th outside the Heritage Ballroom. Registration will move to inside the Heritage Ballroom on the 11th and 12th.
Venue & Lodging
Where is the 2026 State Convention being held?
The 2026 Libertarian Party of Texas State Convention will take place in Abilene, TX at the DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center.
Is parking available?
Yes — both self-parking and valet options will be offered. Accessible parking is located near the main entrance, the convention center parking garage, or behind the venue.
Are there restaurants or attractions nearby?
Yes! The venue features an onsite dining option, and downtown Abilene’s restaurants are a short walk away.

Are social events included with registration?
Some social events are open to the public and do not require a ticket package; others require a specific package. Visit the Schedule page for details. Events marked with a * require a package.
Will there be live entertainment again?
Yes! Based on feedback from 2024, we’ve planned live entertainment with improved sound layout and balanced volume for all attendees.
Training & Resources
Will there be delegate training this year?
Yes. Delegate trainings will be available before the convention. Materials are being streamlined to be concise, clear, and accessible for everyone.
Where can I find convention documents?
All rules, platform proposals, and forms will be posted on the Documents page as they become available.
Committees & Balloting
How does balloting work?
Traditionally,voting will take place electronically during the business session. Instructions will be provided onsite — please ensure your device is charged and connected to delegate Wi-Fi.
